Please welcome Julie Wells to Central Washington Family Medicine as the newest member of our Nursing Team. Julie will take on the role of Registered Nurse on Red Team.

Experience
I have been an RN for 11 years, but have been working in the health care industry for over 20 years. I have done medical records. I have been a pharmacy tech. I have been a medical front office lead. I have worked in oncology, in-patient hospital, but my passion is urology. I worked at Yakima Urology (in the clinic and in the surgical center) for about 9 years. I am a certified urology nurse. I also sit on the certification board for urology (CBUNA) – which means I help write the certification test for nurses and associates. I am the president of the local SUNA chapter (society of urology nurses and associates). Most recently I worked at Cornerstone Medicine. I mainly worked with Dr. Tompkins, Dr. Kakkar and Jeff Van Troba, PA-C (all excellent teachers who I learned a lot from!)
Hobbies
I have 2 kids (Lex – 12, Caralyn 4). I am also currently working on my MSN through Gonzaga. When I am not working, doing homework or playing with my kids, I run. I do 1/2 and full marathons. I generally run 5-6 miles on the weekdays and longer on weekends.
When Julie was asked “Why do you want to work for CHCW?” She replied. “I have heard a lot of positive feedback about CHCW. I want to work for a company that values employees and puts patients first.”
