April-MayApril May, ARNP, joins growing team serving residential care facilities

YAKIMA, WA – Senior and Residential Care Program (SRCare), a service of Community Health of Central Washington (CHCW), is pleased to announce that it has added April May, ARNP, to its medical services team a nurse practitioner providing care to patients residing in residential care facilities.

As SR Care’s newest provider, April May will be providing medical care to patients residing in long-term care facilities.  May has a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Boise State University’s School of Nursing and a Master’s of Nursing degree from the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Program at Boise State University.  For the past 22 years she has been a registered nurse at Living Care Retirement Community in Yakima, where she provided comprehensive nurse management to geriatric patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.  She has also been a registered nurse at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital, providing care on its maternity unit, Family Birthplace.

“We are currently expanding our SRCare team with the goal that our elder patients get the best quality care in the Valley, especially for their later in life medical conditions,” says Mike Maples, MD, CEO, Community Health of Central WA.  “We welcome April and her vast local nursing experience to our team and family of services.”
