Please welcome Binh Rivera to Central Washington Family Medicine as the newest member of our Pharmacy Team. Binh will take on the role of Pharmacist.
Education
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado in Boulder and received my bachelor’s degree in molecular, cellular, develop-mental biology. From there I went on to study Pharmacy at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy an Pharmaceutical Science through the University of Colorado in Aurora to obtain my Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
Experience
I began working in a pharmacy during my undergraduate studies and have continued to gain experience though working at several different retail pharmacies. After graduating from pharmacy school I became a pharmacy manager at a Walgreens in Colorado. Wanting to move closer to my family in Seattle, I took a pharmacist position at another Community Health Center clinic in Yakima almost 3 years ago and have now come to CHCW to work as a staff pharmacist.
Hobbies
The thing I love to do most is spending time with my husband and 2 daughters and going to church as a family. We enjoy the outdoors and like to go hiking and camping with our two dogs. In the winter we enjoy playing in the snow, snowboarding, and sledding. I also love to travel and take my family to places that we have never explored before. Music is a big part of my life, so I enjoy to sing, play the piano, and listen to music during most of my free time.
When Binh was asked “Why do you want to work for CHCW?” She replied. “I want to work for CHCW because of their mission to provide quality healthcare through service and education. Their vision that all people in our region should enjoy access to affordable and appropriate health care is the reason why I enjoy working at a community health center and helping the patients that they serve.”
Binh aspires to be…
“I aspire to be the best that I can be a wife, mother, and pharmacist and to enjoy life at it’s fullest.”
