Nooshin’s History

Medical Experience: As a visiting scientist at Stanford University, I conducted stem cell labeling and imaging (MRI) with the hope that these labeled stem cells would be used for therapy in the field of regenerative medicine. Then, I worked as a Medical Scientist/Principal Investigator at a social impact organization where I was engaged in community service initiatives to explore the challenges women face who live in underserved communities. My goal is to treat patients with life-threatening illnesses. I always put myself into those patients’ shoes and asked whether we had done enough to ease their discomfort and help them maintain hope. I believe that as a scientist and physician, I must respond to these people’s needs.

Hobbies: I like to spend time with my husband and our two children. We enjoy outdoor activities together and they are the ultimate joy of my life.

Why do you want to work for CHCW: I believe healthcare is a fundamental human right that should be accessible to all. As a Family Medicine Physician, I am interested in working closely with the underserved, uninsured, and low-income families to improve their access to healthcare. I traveled worldwide and lived in multiple countries to earn an MSC in Life Science, a Ph.D. in Immunology, Postdoc in Pathology, and a Medical degree. It has always been my goal to become a compassionate physician who would incorporate new scientific discoveries in the prevention, early detection, and treatment of diseases into patient care. I believe that training at CHCW would prepare me to become, a compassionate physician who does everything possible to improve the quality of life for patients.
